Engineering students prepare project proposal on renewable energy solutions.
A reconnaissance team from the School of Engineering visited Malapascua Island in northern Cebu from August 7 to 9, 2015 to conduct an ocular inspection of the place in preparation for a project proposal on Renewable Energy Solutions which the school is drafting.
The team was composed of Franklin Tating Jr., (BSEE 5); John Dave Campanera, (BSCpE 5); John Carlos Matiga, (BSEE 5) together with Engr. Christine Marie Gohetia of the Department of Computer Engineering. The primary objective of the visit was to conduct an initial survey of the seven villages or sitios situated in Barangay Logon, Malapascua Island. Survey results will serve as basis for a project proposal which will cover electricity, water and waste management systems through renewable energy solutions.
