Entrep fair showcases freshies and social entrepreneurs
The USC Entrepreneurs’ Fair showcased the products of B.S. Entrepreneurship 1st year students and 18 social entrepreneurs (SEs) on March 27 to 29, 2019 at the Ayala Center Cebu.
Students managed their partners’ stalls during the three-day fair and ensured that daily sales target were reached giving them a much needed hands-on experience in managing an enterprise. Beyond operational efficiency and marketing prowess, the students had a foretaste of doing business where the primary concern was the welfare of a community or the environment.
The partner SEs were participants of the accelerator program of the School of Business and Economics Center for Social Entrepreneurship (SBE CSE) and are affiliates of SBE’s partner institutions, namely the USC Kapamilya Negosyo Na program and the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) Microfinance. Also featured in the fair was the SVD Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) which celebrated its 20th founding anniversary.
The USC Entrepreneurs’ Fair is a semestral activity of the B.S. Entrepreneurship program which is recognized as a Commission on Higher Education Center of Excellence (CHED COE).
