Architecture students sweep awards in Projeto Ideas and Design competition

USC Department of Architecture students are champions, 1st runner up, and 2nd runner up during the 2024 Projeto Ideas and Design Competition on September 15, 2024 held at the IEC Convention Center, Cebu City. 

The Carolinian contingent is composed of the following teams: 

  • “Team AKKA” – Grand Winner and People’s Choice Awardee
    Members: Amanda Grace Kaw, Kristen Camille Lim, Kate Angelique Montales, Amberline Ashley Uy (4th Year, see photo below)

  • “Team Porma” – 1st Runner Up
    Members: Boris Michael Arque, Jeanne Margrett Caballes, John Elan Martinez, Vincent Mari Rodaje and Paul Christian Tagalog (4th Year)

  • “Team Neo” – 2nd Runner Up
    Solo entry of 4th year student Andrew Jorge Lopez

This year’s competition revolved around the theme, “Convention Center in Neomodern Architecture” and was held simultaneously with the Philippine Building and Construction Exposition (PHILBEX) Cebu. 

This is the second year in a row that an entry from USC copped the grand prize.
