Solis was recognized for her almost 30 years in the academe as well as her work in heritage conservation and urban planning. Meanwhile, Ar. Cabilao (see photo below) was recognized for his work in the academe as well as in architectural journalism, which helped “in advancing architectural discourse” both in the university and the community.

The “50 Distinguished Architects of UAP District C1” recognized architects who belong to various UAP Chapters in Cebu, Bohol, and Dumaguete for their notable contributions to the advancement of the architecture profession, laudable service to the professional organization, and admirable work in the community.

The event, which was part of the PhilConstruct 2025 exposition, was organized by the UAP Regional District C1 in line with the year-long 50th anniversary celebration of the UAP, which is the integrated and accredited professional organization of architects in the country.
