USC receives recognition from Disaster Risk Reduction council

The University of San Carlos, through the USC NSTP/NSRC/DRRM office, received a Plaque of Recognition from the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region VII.

The distinction was conferred during the DRRM Partners’ Appreciation Awarding Ceremony held February 16, 2026, at the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites in Cebu City.

This recent accolade adds to a growing list of honors for the USC NSTP/NSRC/DRRM office, which earned a series of awards in 2025 for its contributions to youth development and nation-building.

Notably, the university has established a legacy of excellence as a multi-year Region VII Gawad Kalasag champion and a consistent national finalist.

These back-to-back recognitions underscore USC’s sustained role as a regional leader in leading disaster preparedness and civic service.

Leading the institutional initiatives from the office are USC NSTP/NSRC/DRRM Director Fr. Dindo Anthony F. Fallarme, SVD, and NSTP/NSRC/DRRM Officer Emma E. Selma.
