Committed to enhancing technology education and student development, the University of San Carlos (USC) and Novare Technologies, Inc. entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last February 27, 2026.

The agreement was formalized by key leaders from both institutions. Representing USC were University President Fr. Francisco Antonio T. Estepa, SVD, Ph.D. and Vice President for Academic Affairs Fr. Jesuraj Anthoniappen, SVD, Ph.D. Representing Novare Technologies, Inc. were Rico del Rosario (Chief AI Officer) and Dence Manset (Executive Program Manager, Novare University).
This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands.
The MOU establishes scholarships, awards, and curriculum reviews to enhance IT education, fostering student development through specialized training and academic sponsorship programs. This MOU could also forge future employment opportunities for USC students and alumni.
This initiative is made possible through the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and Mathematics headed by Dr. Angie Ceniza-Canillo.
Ultimately, this initiative represents a significant step in fortifying the local tech ecosystem. Such strategic linkages transform traditional education into a dynamic talent pipeline, equipping students with the specific competencies required by the global digital economy.
