Message from the Director Christmas Message 2024

Dear beloved Basic Education community!

As we begin the Advent and Christmas season of 2024, it is a wonderful opportunity for the Basic Education Community to reflect on the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love that this time embodies. This period invites us to prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of Christ, fostering a spirit of anticipation and reflection.

As educators and community members, we can encourage our students to embrace hope in their lives and in the world around them. This is a time to inspire them to look forward to positive changes and to believe in the possibilities that lie ahead. In our classrooms and interactions, let us promote an atmosphere of peace—encouraging kindness, understanding, and cooperation among students. We can also initiate activities that foster teamwork and community can help instill these values.

This is also a perfect time for festive activities that celebrate joy in learning and community. Consider organizing events that allow students to share their talents and happiness with one another. Let us remind our students that love is not only about receiving but also about giving—we can do this by encouraging acts of service within our community during this season.

As we transition from Advent into Christmas, let us carry forward these themes into our celebrations. Christmas is a time for gathering with family and friends, sharing joy, and extending love to those in need. We can encourage our community to participate in service projects or charitable activities that embody these values, especially in our Community Extension Service (CES) activities that benefit our identified communities.

This Advent and Christmas season, let us collectively nurture a spirit of hope, peace, joy, and love within our Basic Education community. By engaging our students in meaningful discussions and activities around these themes, we can create a memorable and impactful experience that resonates throughout the year. May this season bring warmth to your hearts and light to your paths as we celebrate together.
