The University of San Carlos celebrates the exceptional performance of its newest Mechanical Engineers. In the February 2026 licensure exam, USC achieved an impressive 93.33% passing rate, far exceeding the national average.
According to data from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 3,264 out of 6,294 examinees passed nationwide, resulting in a national passing rate of 51.87%.
This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication of our students, the mentorship of our Mechanical Engineering faculty—led by their chair, Michael E. Loretero, Ph.D.—and the strength of USC’s Mechanical Engineering program.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our new licensed Carolinian Mechanical Engineers for bringing pride and honor to the University.
CONGRATULATIONS, Carolinians!
