USC is top-performing school; claims 1st, 4 other top 10 spots in July 2025 Interior Design board

The University of San Carlos ranked first among the top-performing schools in the 2025 Licensure Examination for Interior Designers, administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Carolinian graduate Jan Marie Pepito Trocino topped the nationwide board examination, garnering an overall score of 89.70%. Joining her in the list of board placers are: 

  • 2nd Placer (87.70%) – Abigail Mae Yu Kintia 
  • 6th Placer (85.30%) – Leighanne Gabrielle Gutual Bersabal 
  • 7th Placer (83.60%) – Mathea Valdehueza Pugoy 
  • 10th Placer (83.15%) – John Brix Tampus Cruza 

Overall, the USC Department of Architecture Interior Design Program produced 25 passers, with a passing rate of 83.33% – well above the nationwide passing percentage (54.59%, or 226 out of 414 examinees).
