Two Carolinians were named excellent performers with above 90% ratings, namely Jane G. Omamalin and Geremae M. Mata (read full story here). Another 57 Carolinians were named exemplary performers with ratings between 85% to 90%.
The Supreme Court only named the top 14 excellent performers instead of the usual top 10 in the 2020-2021 Bar examinations.
USC Law’s passing percentages in past Bar examinations have remained consistently high and the College has produced the most number of topnotchers in the past seven years. In 2015, USC Law graduates placed 2nd and 8th. A year later, USC Law registered 100% passing for its 2016 graduates and had four individual topnotchers who grabbed the 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 8th places. This consistency is demonstrated in 2017 with placers at the 2nd, 4th, and 7th spots, and in 2018 with graduates who placed 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th.
