The USC School of Architecture and Fine Arts (SAFAD) headed by Dean Ar. Margret Rosario officially opened the Digital Modeling and Production Studio at the SAFAD Building in Talamban Campus on July 5, 2023.
The studio will be administered by the Architecture Computer Center (ACC), a unit under the Dean’s Office. The ACC will be responsible for the upkeep and the operations of the Studio.
Meanwhile, Graphisoft, a software company and creator of ARCHICAD turned over a free software licence to Ar. Vangie Cheryl Ulila for use in the Conservation of Heritage and Research Institute for Society and its History (CHERISH) for its conservation initiatives.
USC Talamban Chaplain Fr. Dindo Anthony Fallarme, SVD, blessed the studio (see photo above). Meanwhile, the USC cabinet headed by University President Fr. Narciso A. Cellan Jr., SVD (left, see photo above) together with VP for Administration Fr. Generoso Rebayla Jr., SVD, Assistant VP for Administration Fr. Melchor Fuerzas, SVD, and Assistant VP for Academic Affairs Atty. Joan Largo also attended the event.
They were joined by Ar. Anne Nacorda (Chair, Department of Architecture), Dr. Felma Aliño (Chair, Department of Fine Arts), IDr. Adrian Del Monte (Incoming Dean, SAFAD), Engr. James Toledo (University Registrar), as well as the faculty and staff of the School of Architecture and Fine Arts.
The Digital Modeling and Production Studio is now open for SAFAD students, the entire USC community, and the general public. Interested users must set an appointment with the ACC through +63 32 401 2300 local 210.
