The University of San Carlos signed two MOUs with the University of Osaka on March 3, 2026, to bolster research and student mobility.

Fr. Francisco Antonio T. Estepa, SVD, Ph.D., President of the University of San Carlos, and Glenn G. Glarino, Ph.D., Dean of the USC School of Arts and Sciences, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yamamoto Yoshiki, Dean of the Graduate School of Humanities, and Tsutsui Sayo, Dean of the School of Foreign Studies of the University of Osaka. This agreement facilitates student and faculty exchanges alongside collaborative research.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also inked with the University of Osaka Institute of Laser Engineering, signed by Director Kodama Ryosuke to focus on joint lectures and information sharing.
The ceremony was witnessed by Professor Gyo Miyahara, Ph.D. of the Graduate School of Humanities; Professor Noriko Chikumoto, Director of the Quadruple Matrix Center, Institute of Laser Engineering; and Professor Nobuhiko Sarukura, faculty member of the Institute of Laser Engineering at the University of Osaka.
These agreements aim to promote cooperation and academic exchange.
By fostering these global partnerships, both institutions remain committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for improving human lives.
