USC is ranked in THE Impact Rankings 2024

The University of San Carlos is ranked in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024

The announcement came today, June 12, 2024, during the THE Global Sustainable Development Congress 2024 held in Bangkok, Thailand.

This is the second global ranking obtained by USC within a week. On June 5, 2024, USC was ranked in the QS World University Rankings 2025 (see related story).

USC submitted data for this year’s Impact Rankings in 11 out of 17 SDGs, including No Poverty (SDG 1), Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Life Below Water (SDG 14), Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and the mandatory Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17).

In 2023, USC only submitted data for four SDGs, namely SDG 3, SDG 6, SDG 11, and SDG 17, which resulted in its initial inclusion in the Impact Rankings.

This year, USC obtained an overall rank of 1501+ with an overall score of 41.3. The University ranked highest (401–600) in three SDGs, namely SDG 6, SDG 8, and SDG 14. Based on scores, the University performed well in SDG 8, SDG 5, and SDG 7.

There are 56 Philippine universities included in the 2024 Impact Rankings.

USC remains committed to sustainable development and will continue to strive to improve its policies and actions towards the fulfillment of the U.N. SDGs.
