World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) experts Richard S. Cahoon, Ph.D. and David Simmons, along with Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) experts Adrian H. Sablan and Harris M. Fulo, vist the University of San Carlos on June 25 and 26, 2018 to meet with researchers from different departments and research centers.
Organized by the USC Office of Research under Director Danilo B. Largo, Ph.D., the meeting gathers nineteen researchers from thirteen departments and research centers who will present research-derived technologies for invention disclosure. Eleven presenters are from the School of Engineering, five from the three science departments of the School of Arts and Sciences, and three additional presenters from the Center of Geoinformatics and Environmental Solutions (CenGES), BioProcess Engineering and Research Center (BioPERC), and the Tuklas Lunas Development Center.
Dr. Cahoon is President of the BioProperty Strategy Group, Inc. and is an Adjunct Professor of the International Programs of Cornell University (U.S.A.). Simmons is a counsellor for the Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific of the WIPO, while Sablan and Fulo are IPR specialists of the Documentation, Information, and Technology Transfer Bureau (DITTB) of the IPOPHL.
