Grants and Awards

External Grants

 

Support for our flagship research programs in the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, business, education, and humanities is obtained mainly from government grants through the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Commission on Higher Education, as well as from smaller grants from industries and local government units.

 

External grants of over PHP232M (USD4.14M) that have been awarded between 2020 to 2023 including several international grants from NCR Foundation, Fukushima Prefecture, the U.K. Natural Environment Research Council, and FHNW Switzerland.

 

Internal Grants

The Research, Development, Extension, and Publications Office manages the University Research Trust Fund, which provides seed money for starting and early career researchers who have projects that have no external funding.

Grants Management

 

External grants are managed by the Research, Development, Extension, and Publications Office  under the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The office provides oversight over the financial management of projects and ensures that obligations toward the funding agencies are delivered.
