USC Law has bar placer, one of top-performing schools nationwide with 117 passers in 2024 Bar

The University of San Carlos College of Law is among the top-performing law schools in the Philippines, producing 117 new lawyers in the 2024 Bar Examinations administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. 

Among schools with more than 100 first-time examinees, USC received an 85.45% passing rate and a 79.05% average in the overall category. 

Aside from being one of the country’s top-performing schools, USC Law also produced a Bar placer. Atty. John Daniel D. Hamoy, valedictorian of USC Law Class of 2024, garnered an 83.1350% rating, landing on the 14th spot.

The University of San Carlos ranked first in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, with the most number of Bar passers and the only Cebu-based school with a Bar placer. 

Nationwide, a total of 3,962 new lawyers (37.84%) successfully passed the Bar exam.
