Electrical eng’g. studes win gold

Three electrical engineering students won first place in the quiz show of the 19th National Schools Convention of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers held on March 1-3, 2018 at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila.

Champions again. The USC team poses with their trophy, medals, and certificates.

Mikhael Glen Lataza, Adrian Tan, and Paul Francis Sanico, all 4th-year B.S. Electrical Engineering students, composed the USC team, along with their coach Engr. Jaybee M. Lacea. Twenty-two other schools participated in the event; University of Batangas placed 2nd, while Jose Rizal Memorial State University was 3rd.

The three-day event began with technical seminars and company-sponsored talks, while a skills workshop was held on the second day. The quiz show was the culmination of the convention, with three rounds including topics on mathematics, electrical engineering, and engineering jurisprudence.
